OS X, Ubuntu Linux and the dual boot iBook G4

Yay! With the help of Phil Roche's check list I am now the proud owner of an iBook G4 that boots either Tiger or Ubuntu.
Unfortunatley, it seems there is no Airport extreme drivers for Linux, which is the only downer; well that and the sheer brownness of the Ubuntu user interface.
Still, I finally have a Linux set up to play with. So, errr, can anyone recommend some good Linux apps that I can play with?
